Trust is such a strong word that has one meaning and many applications. Trust is very hard to have in today’s world. Who can you trust?

Trusting God with our Paths

Trust relies on facts and character of the person or object on which trust is placed.  Some situations build trust in others while some crumble under pressure.

Trusting in God is different. What we know of God and His character gives us trust in Word!

God is all powerful, creator, sustainer, lover of man, kind, gentle, and more.

In Proverbs 3 Solomon says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5, 6 ESV).

We are to trust God with everything.  We need to let God be the Lord of our lives.

Our lives are busy and complex. The decisions that are needed to be made each day are endless. Every year we each face major and minor decisions that could have a huge affect on our lives.

When I was in high school I wanted to be an orchestra teacher. As I was going though college God had other plans and ended up calling me to be a student pastor. I had no idea why but I knew that God had a plan. I just needed to trust Him with my plans instead of trying to dictate everything myself and putting God in the corner.

In our lives we need to allow God to show us the our path. Many times God will only show us the next foot. But we are to trust him to show us that next step in our lives.

As we grow in our knowledge of God our trust grows. And as we grow in our trust for God we rely on more on Him for direction and guidance in our lives.

What are some ways that you grow in your knowledge of God?

What is a story of how you have seen your trust in God grow?
